Smokey Row + PvilleYI Study Hall:

With our county's Covid-19 positivity rate on the rise (now above 15%), we and Smokey Row Coffee - Pleasantville, IA have decided it isn't wise to hold our Study Hall event. The safety of our youth is the most important thing to us. We are so sad to have to cancel. We do look forward to collaborating with each other in the very near future. Pleasantville, stay safe and healthy!

Pleasantville Students in 5th-9th grades can reserve a spot during our Study Hall sessions at Smokey Row!

*NOTE* This Study Hall event is not sponsored by Pleasantville Community School District. If you have questions, please contact PvilleYI or Smokey Row, not the school.*

These sessions will take place August 31st, Sep. 1st, Sep. 2nd, Sep. 3rd, Sep. 8th, Sep. 9th, and Sep. 10th.

Each day will have two sessions : 9:00am-11am and 1pm-3pm.

Each session will have room for 25 students.

Parents can reserve as many spots as they would like, first come first serve.

After reserving a spot, parents will be given a link to fill out a registration for the students who will be attending the Study Hall sessions.

To reserve a spot, go here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/study-hall-at-smokey-row-tickets-116966595235

If students have reserved a spot in both of the day's sessions, they still have to sign out and go home for lunch and sign back in for the second session. This allows us time to give volunteers a break and sanitize the room.

Students must stay for the whole 2 hour session. They will not be allowed to leave early without a parent communicating with our volunteers.

What to Expect:

  • Workspace

  • Adult Supervision

  • Wifi

May Baskets, Assemble!

This event is canceled, sadly, due to the COVID-19 Crisis. If it is possible for the PVILLEYI team to do this another way, we certainly will!

We are once again putting together 500, yes, FIVE, HUNDRED, May Baskets for the ENTIRE elementary school! We will assemble them on Thursday night, April 30th, and deliver them early Friday morning. We place a basket on each student’s desk to surprise them with a very special MAY DAY treat!

We encourage Middle School and High School students to help us assemble the baskets as a service project!

We will meet at 6:30pm, location TBA.

Post-Game Party (7th-12th Grade)

Post-Game Party (7th-12th Grade)

Students in Middle School and High School can join us October 25th AFTER the home football game until 11:30pm for a Post-Game party! We’ll be at the High School Cafeteria but doors will not open until the game ends. This event, like all of our youth events, is absolutely FREE. We’ll have snacks, a DJ, and a photo booth! This a great place for kids to come and hang out together after the game!

Youth will sign in when they arrive and sign out when they leave. Parents, please fill out this form for the 2019/2020 school year if you have not yet, so we have emergency contacts for your student.

Youth will not be allowed to return after they sign out. Once youth sign out they cannot come back in unless a parent directly communicates with a PvilleYI volunteer. We do this to ensure that students do not show up, leave, then return at the end leaving parents to believe they never left. We know, we know, they can be sneaky, but we still love them!

If parents have any questions, please contact us!
